I was at a pretty weird festival last week, but didnt have my camera. It was just the kind of thing I want to show people too!
So I checked the internet and found a similar (but bigger) festival to the west of Japan. So I am posting the link to it.

The thing I find interesting is not the festival itself, but the fact that families go along together and have fun, parents joking with kids. It could be because I'm british, but that would never happen.

I can almost imagine my mother covering our eyes and whisking us away!

I didn't really read the title at first, so I just scrolled down quickly through the pictures. . .I stopped on the one where the woman was riding a log and though 'Hmm. . . this doesn't look right I better check out what the title is'. . . .that's when it all came together.
