It appears World of Warcraft is creeping more and more into mainstream attention. Recently I watched an episode of The Big Bang Theory which included WoW references. In an opening scene, four main characters who happen to be nerds are playing a video game on their own lap top computers. It sounds like they are playing an MMORPG by what they are saying but you really don't know what they are playing until one yells, "I am the sword master! I have the Sword of Azeroth!"

There was an entire episode of south park (which was partially animated, partially in-game footage) based on WoW that won an emmy.

yea, I saw that too Coop. I thought it was funny. But I really don't consider South Park mainstream. If it were on NBC Wednesday night at 8PM ET/9PM CT, I'd change my tune. 8)

That wasn't actual in game footage, it was animated using the game engine by Blizzard for that episode.
