This ties in with the theory I was posting about a year and a half ago. Below are a few links, one of which you posted, Redwarrior.

Iranian_Nukes and WWIII In these discussions I predicted we would be at war with Iran and Syria by the end of 2006. I got that information from another source. Also Bush's popularity and Bush's perception of his national popularity had a bit to do with that. Because China holds so much of our currency in Bonds, which is a way of borrowing money from another country, they could hurt us real bad by divesting all those bonds in one instance. The problem with that scenario is that we no longer have a national economy but a world economy. If they were to do that, they would hurt themselves and their allies along with it. This was one of the precursors of the war a group I know is prediting to occur sometime in the next 6-10 years.

world economies are too integrated for anyone to escape the downfall of that. They can use it as a threat, but it would be bad if they actually did it. It's like Nuclear War. No winners.

We could be winners in a nuclear war if the damn liberals would let us build a defense system. But since no system is 100% full-proof, better to not protect 99% and just have protection down to 0%. Because it's not fair to that 1%.
