Some people have no lives

And I thought that I was a loser in high school....

Isnt it remarkable how lifeless and pathetic a group of individuals can be? About a year ago, I got banned from some very small very dead message boards because I had a link to another website in my signature. No warnings, wasnt in the rules, just instaban. About a week ago, for shits and giggles and because I was procrastinating, I made another account and told the mod who banned me to suck my balls. Y'know, big deal there, I went to bed and thought nothing of it. Woke up the next day to find my Xanga blog flooded with hate comments, each one about a paragraph long individually crafted to insult whatever I had blogged about at the time. The guy alone had spent well over 2 hours doing this. So I deleted his comments, which took like 5 minutes, thought nothing of it and went on with life. The guy made a couple more accounts and continued to do the same thing, each time I wake up, spend 5 minutes deleting the hours and hours of comments that he made, and went on with my life. But now he's got three people spamming my blog, in the middle of the night, from midnight to 5 a.m.. I'm not asking for "hulp", or sympathy. I want to know, why do people like this exist? Are people really that lifeless and offended? Next thing I know I'll wake up and find a piece of paper with a skull on it underneath my dorm door. Y'know I considered myself a pretty reclusive loser for most of my high school life but I've never wasted 5 hours on a school night with two other e-buddies spamming someone's blog because they called me a couple of bad-words. That's just another level of lifelessness entirely. This kind of thing makes me glad that I have a social life.

As of today, one week later after the initial spamming, this single individual has spent well over 15 hours viewing my Xanga blog and spamming it. And it has taken me less than 20 minutes in total to delete every single one of them, usually it takes me 3 minutes each morning to delete an hour and thirty minutes worth of work. I know this because my IP tracer logs everytime that anyone visits my Xanga and from what URL they had gotten my link from. Can you believe this? He does this on weekdays in the middle of the night. Any normal human being would be asleep, preparing for another day of high school/college/work. He clearly has no life.

It is the blogging website that used to be the really popular one amonst the teeny-boppers before they moved onto MySpace. Except that MySpace is riddled with advertisements from head to toe and a userbase with the average IQ of a frog testicle. Not to say that there isnt intelligent people on there, because most of my friends use it as well, but I cant stand getting constant messages from up and coming bands and friends invites from EVERYONE. I really just cant point out why people use it, it is so cluttered and overhyped and just plain ugly in my opinion.

Xanga is my home on the internet, I love everything about it, it's a middleground between LiveJournal and MySpace.

CapnHowdy. take a deep breath, relax and step away from the computer. What you wrote is merely an example of immature drama queens at work. They are only seeking an audience, good or bad. If you pay attention to them they will bug you. If you ignore them, they will go away. You made the mistake of making the second account and insulting them on their ground. This is your payback. From now on, don't read what they write, just in case it upsets you. Merely delete it immediately as if it were some annoying spam that fell into your E-mail inbox. problem solved.

lol, I actually never blew up over this, from the second that I saw what had happened I was laughing my ass off because anyone who wastes that much time simply cant have a social life. My "payback" is a joke, it hurts them WAY more to waste that much time personalizing every insult that they leave whereas I stopped reading them after day one. Normally this kind of personal attack would have offended me, but this time, given the circumstances, I find it just outright HILARIOUS. I think about it while in the shower, in the middle of lecture, walking to and from class, and immediately a huge grin pops up on my face. I think it's really, really funny, just how pathetic they are. It gives me great pleasure letting them know that I'm deleting hours upon hours of work in a matter of minutes, and they know that all of their effort goes to waste every day. Call me an ass, but it's an insane powertrip letting these guys know how quickly I ruined their work. They're mad as heck about it too, and they take no effort to try and hide that.

it doesn't hurt people like that. They are enjoying every minute and every word they write in those retorts. But if both of you are having fun. have at it! 8)

I dunno man, he seems pretty upset everytime I block him and he has to make another account. But if you insist that he's having fun, then fun we will have.

Most of the features of Xanga for safety are against child predators, but you should see if there is any way to report him for harassment.

You might be able to get his IP banned from Xanga...
