A place to just hang out.

Japan, how I love it...

First, I don't know if this is only in Japan - I have never had a baby in another country, so my experience is limited. I know the UK would NEVER hand out something like this...

We received this when we went to get a scan and check-up.
For those whose Japanese isn't up to scratch, it divides the pregnancy into 3 parts and displays what positions are OK to have sex in.

I love the fact that they just had to draw pictures too.

Also, I still can't work out why EVERYONE in Japan will swear blind that a pregnancy lasts 10 months.

10 months, eh?
My wife works in the health profession. She tells me that the gestation period is 40 weeks. She begins counting from the last menstruation period. A woman's body prepares for pregnancy every month. The Menstruation period is the Cleaning out process and then then the preparations begin for the Ovulation period which is generally 2 weeks later.

Mathematically, 40 weeks = 9-10 months. It makes sense for the Japanese to count it as 10 months. But if you count the gestation period from the conception date, because up until that time there is no fetus, then it is only 9 months.

Damn! I need a beer.

There are plenty of storks in the world. I believe they are indigenous to warmer dry climates of the world. As far as being employed to deliver babies. yes they do that too! ;)
