If you're looking for a kickass LCD TV, the Bravia's are (last I researched, which was 6 months ago) easily the best in their class. Great response times, colors, a little bit on the expensive side, but great.

How far away are the states for you? It might be cheaper to cross the border...I'm not sure what your local tax rate would be in Canada, or if the exchange rate at the current moment would make this worthwhile...

No sales tax here in New Hampshire and I'd be happy to give you an armed escort back to the border.
