So I get a knock on the door at 4 AM this morning and who could it be...the police.
Officer: Do you own a blue 2006 Hyundai Tiburon?
Me: Yes
Officer: It was broken into, someone busted out your passenger windows and stole the radio. They actually tore the entire center panel out of the dash.
Needless to say I am a little pissed off. This motherfucker didn't just break out the passenger window he also busted out the little one on that side too. The aftermarket radio was not entirely secured into the dash. It probably could have just been pulled out. But instead he ripped the whole panel out and then removed the CD player. To top it off it was raining last night. So the interior of my car is wet and covered in broken glass. However, he apparently doesn't like my taste in music. I had several CD's in the car that he took out of the center console and left on the seat. Apparently the guy isn't a fan of country music. On the plus side the dumb fuck left a screwdriver on top of my car so I had that going for me, until the officer took it as evidence.
I am holding out no hope of recovering any of my stuff, or that this piece of shit will be caught. This is the first time I have ever been the victim of a crime and I have to say it feels shitty. I honestly don't feel secure in my space atm, which is really weird.
So I'm out $1,000 on my deductible, some CD's, a day of work, and a piece of mind. Ain't life grand.
