The UK, more Orwellian every day

Seems like the whole big brother bit is getting out of hand over there. Is this stuff mostly confined to London or is it all over the place?

This is one of those weird issues where I am actually ok with the government "spying" on me. My reasoning for this is that while you are driving, your actions have consequences for not only yourself, but also for all those around you. The fact that I could be killed because you were taking to your "BFF about like this guy who like is totally like awesome", to me means your privacy rights don't mean shit (within the public domain). I am also for the cameras that catch speeders and people who run red lights/stop signs, etc. Additionally, I am all for stricter driving while distracted laws.

I would also like to point out that every time some asshole has an "accident", everyone's insurance rates are affected.

I think what hit me about this is that they already have cameras everywhere, not just watching traffic and now having them traveling around on these mobile spy platforms seems a bit much.
