Actually, and i think i heard this from beta when his dad was in the military, and they were shooting at the range, somehow one of his buddies hit 52/40 shots. No one knew how but they made fun of him for holding a knife in front of the gun.

Actually that's a continuation of other wacky Japanese stuff. 
I saw an old video where they shot a pistol at one of that same guy's katanas (I think they used a .45.) That one did no damage to the blade and split the bullet. So I guess they wanted to up the ante with this one.

Yeah, I saw that episode. the katana was custom made using old world techniques and the bullet was aimed at the katanas strongest point. it was a good episode.
BTW, in that same episode that counted exactly how many leaves were on a cherry blossom tree. ( I think thats right, whatever tree is really popular in japan. you know the pink one.)
