For some reason I am getting an odd pop up but only on the forum index page.
I'm using firefox, haven't check with IE yet but I was on TS with Jedi at the time and he said he wasn't getting it.

Thanks a bunch Rhonnin for pointing that out. The short of it was that we were hacked. There was a exploit the version of phpbb which we were running that allowed ppl to get admin access. Then the would put some hidden html code into forum names.

When was the last time you checked the boards with firefox? So that we know basically when it happened.

Hopefully no damage was done but I would recommend that everyone who was on after the last time Rhonnin did not notice the problem run virus and adware checks.

I upgraded to the current version which fixed the exploit and will keep up with patches from now on.

oh i forgot to add that please post if you see any error messages related to the boards. Upgrading phpbb when you have mods is very painful and even though I think I did it right there may be something I missed.

The last time I had checked was probably 2 or 3 hours prior to that post so maybe 1 or 2 AM EST. as a note, I had run a complete virus scan earlier in the evening, checking the forum was the last thing I did before bed and when I closed the browser MCaffee picked up a trojan, nothing too serious just a redirect that it cleaned without trouble. So I would definately suggest running virus scan if you visited the forums before Road got it cleaned up. I notice the time stamp says 3:11, it was actually more like 5:00 when I posted, also the time stamp for this post is showing around noon and it's actually 2:00.

I had that version until I broke it... Oops. I forgot to back up a few files while modding. Now I have 2.0.15

hmmm. can you provide the exact warning message? I search the entire database for the typical way the exploit was used but maybe there is something I did not check.
