CE is one of my favorites. I labeled that as one of my "staple" certs. I used to practice several elaborate "Spit boxes" and other plans. Please do not forgot to use the sensors. I liked to use the map screen zoomed in to place the sensors. If you didn't realize they have a much larger coverage area that you may think and looking at a zoomed in map tells you just how large it is. I allowed a bit of overlap--maybe 20-35% but you don't want two covering the same area completely.
I looked at Spitfires similar to wall turrets but it you place them close to one another in masse they can provide supporting fires to each other.
I killed a Magrider with spits and mines once. I set up a "Spit Box" filled with mines. the lay of the land was such that by keeping the mines on the high ground, they formed an L-shape. The Magrider attempted to come up the hill along the path of least resistance which is in the "V" of the L. Naturally there were at least three maybe four spits firing on him. He drove at one spit that was in tight with a tree. the tree stopped him but he couldn't touch the Spit. He backed up and ran into a mine. This whole time the spits are pouring into him and he can't traverse to get them all. I was out of small arms fire and came running over to check it out. I shot it a few times with my Cycler and it blew up.
Tip: Place a mine on the ground and then a sensor over it. It will work--might be right next to it, can't remember exactly. the tank driver only sees the sensor and might driver over it thinking he is taking out your eyes. You may not kill him but you will reduce him to 30-50% of damage.
