Rocklet Rifle vs. Maxes

Postby Outbound » Thu Apr 27, 2006 10:34 am

How many shots did it used to take to kill a max with a rocklet rifle? I thought it was 10 shots (all but 2 shots from a second clip). In VR though I counted it to now be 8 shots... and really it's 7 shots plus ANYTHING else (a sweeper mid-range did it).

Did anyone hear about this change? Or am I imagining things, and it always was 8? My guess is they buffed the AV damage and forgot what it did to maxes.

Eight sounds about right. Personal and the NC-Max shield adds a few rounds. I love killing maxes with it and the trick is to keep your distance if possible. If you are too close the long reload time will get you killed.

Well you are right about the amount, 7-8. However I timed it and a Decimator is STILL faster than a rocklet rifle even WITH the fire all rounds function. AV>SA

Not if you need a MAX dead quick. Rocklet will do more damage in the first 2 seconds then a Deci. So if it's desperation then you want a Rocklet.
However, AV is currently the PS = God mode in a armor fight. Vehicles don't do much anymore to each other compared to AV, or MAXs.
In fact it is hard to pick sometimes between Burster and the Pounder. Cause it is just fun taking down all this armor with a Pounder. Think how the Burster is in the air, only make it a Pounder on the ground. You are doing something and getting the kill.

I was correct, it moved from 10 to 8 and they plan to move it back.

This Pounder. The first Pounder was known as the Vanguard of inside fights.
