Just wanted to let you all know that I will be going to 29 Palms (Mojave Desert) as our amphibious testing portion has ended. I will be online from time to time when my schedule permits after August 18 as the hot weather portion will end and force on force testing begins. I believe this recent incident began when Hezbolah kidnapped some Israeli soldiers. Israel retaliated by sending Air raids against Hezbolah locations in Lebanon. Hezbolah now have Chinese SSMs modified in Iran firing inside Lebanon at Haifa, Israel's 3rd largest city. The Israeli Army is poised on the border and firing M109E6 Paladins at suspected Hezbolah targets inside Lebanon. They have also conducted Air strikes against the missle sites. Apparently the Hezbolah are moving the launch sites frequently, so the Israelis have sent small unit raids against suspected missle launch sites. Initially the Israeli govt said they would not invade Lebanon, but they must if they want to deny Hezbolah the ability to hit any targets inside Israel.

The destruction of IRAN.... turn Iran into a smoldering fucking crater and its game over for the terrorist and the nutty Iranian Muslim hardliners. I think Israel should take out Hezbollah and Iran and Syria also they must be leveled before this is over with. Assassinating the Iranian president would not be enough, Tactical nukes on centrifuges will not be enough they are too hidden deep underground. You may think it harsh, but in reality what choices are there? let Iran and Syria cause problems for the world and have Nukes within a few years. The other question is would Russia and China get in the way if Israel and the US decided to end this bullshit with force?

Well, I agree with you there Audrey, however, I do think there are other psychotic individuals running rampant on this earth that would beg to differ with you. While we, the USA (I will only speak for us), would not likely take part in mutual annihliation, who's to say a few biologial strikes on U.S. soil or a few tactical nukes wouldn't push os over the edge?? No one knows, but I do agree with your statement that even Bush in his fury would not readily extinguish the human race. I wonder as Red said that if we did help take these asses out, if Russia and China would interfere...but I am at the point of almost not caring anymore. It's time we do the right thing, not the profitable one.

I'll tell you, you hit a nerve in the other thread and that's why I won't post in there again, and at the same time will not erase my words. I am not one to try and assume that after I say something, it can all go away by a "delete" key even if it was wrong or hurtful. I do think you need to truly think about the state of the world and what events brought us to them instead of just thinking about a way to appease the world. Sometimes even the majority can be dead wrong...

We as a people need to begin killing all those people and regimes that inflict hurt and sorry in droves upon their people and in some cases upon unsuspecting people from other countries. We as a people need to ensure the safety and well being of all other people around the world at all times, it is our duty as a intelligent civilization on tis earth. I am tired of idley standing by and watching people die while some people argue whether it is "right" to attack a country for that purpose (even if the president lied about the original intent and even if the intent is for another reason). It was better done for all in that country and if you don't think so, ask some of my Marines that have been there twice and in some cases three times. They will tell you stories of how the people would invite them into their homes, feed them, give them drinks, and talk to them with kind words. They did not have to and if they all thought we were bad, they would have minimal contact with us, but that is not the case. The fact is, the US news portrays us (the US) as savage and promotes us as killers of innocents without saying how the insurgents do ten times as worse. But anyway, sometimes the best remedy for understanding is a solid dose of reality...go there and see for yourself and stop trusting all you see and hear through others eyes. Sometimes the news is not right...sometimes, get this, the tell tall tales for better ratings, then the full truth comes out after some time.

I brought up Africa last post due to the fact that we, as Americans, allow this to happen. I am appalled that the world lets it happen....but I am getting to the point of seeing a world of talkers and thinkers, minus the doers. We all need to right these wrongs and if we don't, they will continue to happen. IT IS OUR RESPONSIBILTY AS PEOPLE.

Well, I am at the end of my speech and would like to thank all those who stuck by my side and read my words. Please understand I am no dumb "Jarhead" but I do have my opinions and sometimes I speak before I think as many of us have a habit of doing, sometimes us Marines more so. I do not promote the killing of innocents but also do not care about killing the unjust. Someday we will all get along and all the war will end, and I will finally be at peace in my soul knowing that we, as a people, have finally done what was destined to do.....live in PEACE!!!

We went to Iraq based on some intel that wasn't entirely accurate. Naturally we didn't know that until after it was over. But of course there is always the possibility that it was removed to Syria prior to the US crossing the LD.

The Campaign in Israel-Lebanon is just another battlefield in the greater war on terrorism. There fight has been going on since the US and UK put the Jews in the Palestine in 1948. The Palestinians would prefer to deny that the Holocaust of WWII existed and focus on killing them all. Should the US just let the Palestinians have their way? Hell no. Then why does CBS think that the US supply Israel is a major news story? Have they no recollection of the fact we put them there? That they fought wars in 1954, 1967, 1972 & 1981 just so they can survive? The mainstream media is so off base and they have corrupted the minds of the American people. It is entirly pathetic on a major scale.

If the US were to engage in a war with Iran, continue ops in Iraq, continue ops in Afghanistan, continue working with Israel, continue their deterrent force in S. Korea, then China could take the opportunity to reclaim Taiwan. The US Military would be stretched out too thin to deal with China as well as all the other operations we have going on. Naturally, if China steps onto Taiwan, Kim Il Jong will take this opportunity to invade S. Korea. What happens next is more speculation. Hang on boys and girls, it's going to be a bumpy ride.
