Outfit Wars
GAME PLAY RULES
GAME SET UP
· Teams will consist of 29 per side. It was originally at 30 but has been changed to 29 to have one SOE-Referee (known as the “Ref†here after) added as the 30th member of the Platoon to ensure visibility and monitoring of the match.
· When the Old Oshur event zone is ready for the match, the Ref will contact the Platoon/Outfit Leader. The Outfit leader will be the only person coordinating with the Ref so please inform your teams not to send tells directly to the Ref to avoid confusion.
· Teams should be assembled in a Platoon at minimum of 30 minutes before the event starts to start summoning to Old Oshur.
· Players should NOT be in any vehicle when summoning begins. We cannot bring you to the zone if you are in a vehicle.
· BFRs will not be brought over to the Old Oshur continent. However, it is permissible to obtain one once the event starts if you have the correct certificates and imprinting.
· The Ref will do their best to summon you to the zone and then to the spawn room. If any difficulties assist the Ref by getting to the Spawn Room as soon as possible.
· Global communication for each team will not be allowed. Current communication for Old Oshur will transfer over to the current Oshur and will be a nuisance to other players not participating in the event. Using Global communication during the event will get you removed from the zone without return.
· Players will be required to be at a minimum of Battle Rank 7 to participate. Any Team playing with players less than Battle Rank 7 will be disqualified from the event.
· If for any reason the match is not able to be started or completed due to situations out of our control such as a glitch with the server, an internet issue, etc… we will attempt to reschedule or postpone the match to another date.
· Details of this event may be modified or fine-tuned by a representative of SOE in his/her sole discretion at anytime during the event to enforce any stated requirements and limitations, or to ensure fairness. The details that may change include up to and any of the following: # of players per team; start and end times; starting locations; resource levels; vehicle and/or player abilities; player; scoring; tie breakers; etc…
· The HOME TEAM will start off at the DAHAKA Base inside the Spawn Room.
· The AWAY TEAM will start off at the IZHA Base inside the Spawn Room.
· DAHAKA and IZHA Tech plants will have 100% resources at the beginning of the Match. All other Bases on Old Oshur will be set to Neutral and will have Zero resources.
· All Towers will be set to Neutral.
DURING PLAY
· The Winning Team will be determined by the team that hacks and takes ownership of the other team’s base first. Plain and simple.
· A Lodestar will be spawned in the courtyard of your base at the beginning of the contest. An additional Lodestar will be spawned inside each courtyard 30 minutes into the match.
· The Match is scheduled to last 1 hour and 15 minutes.
· Orbital Strikes will NOT be permitted. Failure to comply with this rule will result in your team losing the match.
· Hacking Towers will NOT be permitted. However, hacking an equipment terminal or Locker in a Neutral Base or Tower will be permitted. Failure to comply with this rule will result in your team losing the match.
· There will be no Armor or Weapon restrictions. The certifications and implants of each individual will determine your restrictions.
· Each team will start in the Spawn room and will not wander around. If there is a need to wander around such as to clean up some CE that was left from a previous match, please have the Outfit/Platoon leader alert the Ref. Assistance in this area, will be permitted.
· CE devices will not be permitted to be laid out before the match starts.
· If you lose connection to the game or the internet, you will more than likely not be able to spawn back at Old Oshur but rather at the Sanctuary. If this occurs, have your Outfit/Platoon leader alert the Ref to be summoned back to the spawn room.
EXTENDED TIME
· The Match will last 1 hour and 15 minutes unless there is a Tie or a Hack is placed on a base as time runs out. If a hack has been placed on a base at the end of 1 hour and 15 minutes, we will allow the game to continue until the hack completes. If the team that got their base hacked is able to hack their base back during the extended time, the game play will end and the winner will be decided by Champion Duels in the DAHAKA Court Yard.
CHAMPION DUELING
· Each Outfit/Platoon leader will give the Ref the names of the 5 Champions representing their team in the order they will be called to duel.
· One at a time, each of the 5 will duel against the other Team’s Champions to determine the winner of the match.
· Champions will be wear AGILE armor only and will use Common Pool Weapons only (AMP, Suppressor, Sweeper Shotgun, Punisher and Knife).
· Projectiles such as grenades or plasma will NOT be permitted.
· Combat Engineering such as mines, boomers or spitfires will NOT be permitted.
· Medkits and Medical Applicators WILL be permitted.
· The first team to 3 wins out of the 5 Champions determines the winner of the match.
· Champions will start the duel by sitting in the passenger seat of a Harasser. The duel will start with a “CHAMPIONS READY†by the Ref followed by a “GOâ€.
· Everyone not participating in the Duel will be allowed to watch from the Base Walls during a Cease Fire Game Condition. Everyone not participating in the Duel will not aid the Champions in any manner. Failure to comply will result in a forfeit by your team.
AT THE END OF MATCH
· All players will need to assist the Ref by removing all Combat Engineering Devices left on the battlefield. A great location to remove CE devices first would be within buildings as they are harder to see by the Ref. This is needed to prepare for the next match so please help each other out as they will be doing the same for you.
· Referees will have the final ruling on the match and any protests will not be allowed to overturn a match.
