Apparently he's one of the big cheeses at SOE, and he's always had a soft spot for first-person shooters. (So why did he let Planetside get in the condition it is today, I'll never know). But, since the last time that he used Twitter prior to this September 2nd update was on July 1st, and seeing how a man in his position wouldnt post an update like that unless it was for business purposes, I'm just dying to see what he means.

IMO I'm sick of this prancing-around bullshit. The whole "They're coming... they're here!" shit with Black-Ops pissed me off, I just want to know what the fuck they're going to do. There's only one server left on Planetside, pops are at an all-time low, the community is pissed off, the game is still running on the same outdated engine, hacking is at an all-time high, /appeal isnt a very successful system...

So what could he possibly do to make a promise such as "you will like"? Why now?

I'm bored of endlessly lurking the forums trying to find something, anything that could give us a clue as to what's in store. Not even the current "devs" seem to know what's up.

What could it be. Another expansion? DX9/10? Planetside 2? Free-to-play? With the recent closure of Matrix Online, "Planetside Next" would have led me to believe that Planetside is getting the axe, but since he said "you will like" I surely doubt that that's the case since I doubt that anyone would "like" to see a game closed down (unless they had a long-term bitter hatred for it).

Some people predict a free game where you pay only for bonuses like some other SOE game I can't remember. Example: Play for free, pay 50c a cert point.
