You know, Beta....I started to modify it in October/November and then stopped when I started playing WoW. Have forgotten about it since.......
OH SHIT.....
Good news and Bad (tragic) news.
I bought a new computer in May. Somehow "The Enforcer's Story" didn't make it onto my new computer. Now, I have no .doc files on my hard drive they are all on a Flash drive that I used to pull them all from my old system. For some reason, "The Enforcer's Story" never made it. The one glimmer of hope is that I have a hard copy of my story in a manilla envelope. Now, do I really want to sit down and rewrite this entire story? OMG, What a pain in the ass. It was 40 pages before I started changing things. CRAP!!!
For those who have joined the Enforcers since 11/04 your names will not appear anywhere in the story. Why because you weren't enforcers then. Quit bitichin'. I wrote the initial draft between 12/03 and 4/04. Auraxis is one planet not several. The Warpgates lead into specific continents just as they did on 5/03. TR Sanc has three villages that are named after the Home Continents of Ishundar, Ceryshen and Forseral. When you die in the story, you are dead, there is no resurrection. I did take liscense to change things so that people who died in the first edition lived in my second edition.
My modifications were to apply to Izlude's L337 Rangers, RoadRunner's Air Raid on Cyssor, and Dragonmasta's Assault on Hossin.
Sample cut:
Captain Izlude dropped with first squad of his second platoon at Zaqar tower. They encountered a few HE mines which did little damage to Private JBgetstoplay but otherwise the tower was vacant. The squad set up deployables around the tower, hacked it and moved off toward Neti. Operation Wolverine had begun.
Sergeant EgoStomper spied three NC Sunderers bustling south along the road from Marduk. He propped his Striker up on a rock and pressed the talk button on his coms.
"Izlude, this is EgoStomper, over."
"Go ahead, over."
"I've got three blue Sundy's heading south."
"You take the trail one. TheDarkSide will take out its leader and Hendricks will take the middle one." The Company Commander told the three squad leaders. The Three NCOs had lost their Platoon Leader, Lieutenant HarbringeofPain.
"Anyone hear from Sergeant Crastinus' Platoon?"
"No Sir." Sergeant EgoStomper responded to his CO.
"They should have made it back from Hossin by now. Dragonmasta Company pulled off Hossin." The Company Commander worried about his lost platoon.
EgoStomper put his squad in line and instructed them to fire at the trail Sunderer. In no time at all, severn missles headed toward the unsuspecting Sunderer. Ego's squad fired three volleys at the APC which went up like a Roman Candle. In a few fiery minutes, the remaining two fell victim to Lude's L337 Rangers.
"Get your ass in gear, soldier." Sergeant Crastinus yelled at Private Betasoldier. The Private was staggering across the desert of Ishundar with parched lips and only salt stains where sweat once existed. The twelve survivors of Lieutenant Noddy's Platoon wandered through the desert in search of other Terrans or possibly other Enforcers. Sergeant Crastinus was now the Platoon Leader as Lieutenant Noddy had perished from Heat Exhaustion and dehydration. Their coms were down and weren't sure where they were or where the friendlies were or where the enemy was.
"Can't we stop and rest, sarge?" Private Shadowhunter whined.
"Rest and die soldier." Sergeant Merkaba responded. "We need to stick together and keep moving."
The sun was directly overhead and roasted the Terrans as they slowly trudged along. Even while suffering from heat exhaustion, betasoldier held firmly onto his mini-chaingun as he walked.
