Gunther wrote:Tom Brady entered 2005 with a record of 57-14 (.803) in regular-season and playoff games. It is the best record of any NFL quarterback in the Super Bowl Era (since 1966) with at least 40 starts.

Tom Brady is the only quarterback in NFL history to start and win three Super Bowls before his 28th birthday, having quarterbacked the Patriots to victories in Super Bowl XXXVI when he was 24 years old, Super Bowl XXXVIII (26) and Super Bowl XXXIX (27).

Tom Brady is the fourth quarterback in NFL history to lead his team to three or more Super Bowl wins, joining Terry Bradshaw (4), Joe Montana (4) and Troy Aikman (3).

Brady owns two Pete Rozelle Awards as Super Bowl MVP (XXXVI and XXXVIII). He is just the fourth player in Super Bowl history to earn multiple MVP awards, joining Joe Montana, Terry Bradshaw and Bart Starr, all three of whom are enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Brady entered 2005 as the NFL’s all-time leader in overtime wins without a defeat, recording a perfect 7-0 mark in overtime in his career. Terry Bradshaw is the only other quarterback to be undefeated in at least five overtime games, posting a 5-0 record.

Brady entered 2005 as the Patriots’ all-time leader in career completion percentage (61.6 percent) and passer rating (87.5).

Brady set a career high in 2004 with a 92.9 passer rating, the second highest rating in Patriots history among players with at least 150 attempts (Tony Eason, 93.4 in 1984).

Brady owns the Super Bowl record for pass completions in a game, connecting on 32 passes in Super Bowl XXXVIII.

Brady has won his first nine playoff games, setting an NFL record for the most consecutive playoff wins to begin a career.

Brady has a career record of 39-5 (.886) in games played after November 1. His sparkling record includes a perfect 9-0 playoff mark.

Brady led the NFL with 28 touchdown passes in 2002 and became the first Patriot to lead the league in touchdown passes since Steve Grogan shared the lead with Brian Sipe (28) in 1979.

Brady tied an NFL record by distributing his 28 touchdown passes to 11 different players in 2002. He joins Sammy Baugh, Washington (1947); Dan Marino, Miami (1985); and Vinny Testaverde, Baltimore (1996).

Brady (24 years, 184 days old) was voted MVP of Super Bowl XXXVI and was the third-youngest player to earn the honor (Marcus Allen, 23 years and 301 days at Super Bowl XVIII and Lynn Swann, 23 years, 316 days at Super Bowl X).

Brady completed over 70 percent of his passes in four consecutive games during the 2001 season and joined an exclusive club of quarterbacks who accomplished the feat; he joined Joe Montana (8 games, 1989), Troy Aikman (4, 1995), Steve Young (4, 1993) and Sammy Baugh (4, 1945).

Brady completed the first 162 passes of his career without an interception. It was the longest streak to start a career in NFL history and ranks third for most attempts without an interception in Patriots franchise history.

During the previous four years of Playoffs (his career) Brady has thrown only 3 interceptions.

Yet, The Patriots will Lose tonight because outlaw, HAC and BCoop say so.

Gunther, i never made a prediction.
If i did, please show me it cause it's news to me.
I do recall saying the Pats wouldn't win the super bowl if thats what your talking about. If you think beating the Jags at home is the super bowl Gunther, then i fear for you.

It is true that I can not find a written quote from you HAC, but the consensus across the country is that the Pats are down and can not do it again. I know the Colts are in the best shape they have ever been. I merely caution you not to underestimate the Pats.

I never claimed that the Pats would lose to the Jags, I was hoping for it, but I certainly did not expect it. I hate the Pats for a few reasons... Even though I am a Giants fan, I still like the Jets, its my prerroagative to hate any sports team from New England, I don't like Tom Brady's constant bitching, etc.

We all know all of Brady's acolades Gunther. For the past few years, everyone has been talking about how great he is. After all, football is a team sport, and despite the fact that he has a ton of Superbowl rings, it is the combined effort of a teamload of great players, especially the great D, that got them to the Superbowl. I was always skeptical, but this season really proved Tom Brady's ability to me. With his defense plgued by injuries, and his running game pretty much dead, he carried the team on his back through the toughest times of this season. He's acted irresponsibly by just whining about how he thinks the media doesn't repsect his team, and how he doesn't like image and looks at porn, etc., but overall he really stepped up to lead his whole team.

Still, a great quarterback cannot take his team alone to the Superbowl. The Colts tried for years but Manning still couldn't pull through alone. The Pats entire team is certainly not as good as last year's squad, but they are a great team and can go deep into the playoffs.

Gunther, i'm not underestimating the pats. But look at it this way:
The Pats will have to go to Denver, a team that beat NE this year already, after they just had a bye. And if they are able to beat them they have to take on either the Steelers or Indy.
The Pats are getting some speed, i'll give you that. But they don't have the bye this time, nor the home-field.

I do however find it funny you looked for the quote to discredit me tho. lol

The Colts will play the Steelers. I guarantee you this game will be better then the last meeting. The Steelers want Indy bad. But the Colts are going to be very business like.
Should be a great game.

The Skins take on Seattle. If Washington can contain Alexander somewhat, they can win. Doesn't mean they will. But they can't go put up 120 yards on O again.

Yey I was right abouteveryone but the Giants. . .what a blow out. That's okay, I hate them anyways :D However Bengals were doomed to lose to the steelers (especially after such a SWEET fake play for a toucdown, who does more of those than Bill Cower) But losing Carson Palmer di NOT help any.

Colts SuperBowl ftw.

Wow seems some people are fired up in this forum here. Let me just make a quick note to H.A.C, the Pats and the Broncos were two different teams at the time of their last meeting. The Pats are a team built to win in the playoffs even if they are beaten up. Now this isn't to say they will win, but I do believe it will be a closer game then most think.

Also Coop, when have you ever heard Brady bitch and what does this bitching entail? I have never heard him bitch, he isn't one to bark about his team or such. He always , always attempts to state the obvious when he is in front of the media as to never create waves. Why would the leader of a team bitch to create waves. (I.E. T.O.) and his oh so successful Eagles.

I am fully aware that this will be a good game. Frankly, i'm pulling for NE to upset Denver. Just for the possibility of the AFC title game being Patriots Vs Colts.
I don't think i'm the only one here that thinks that is the most fitting match up this year.
The defending champs Vs the top seed.

As for the Colts/Steelers game: Another good matchup that i have already eluded to. I do believe that the Colts will come out of this bye week the most focused they have been all year.
Why?
They want to win it all for Tony Dungy.
The horrible event of Dungy's son dying will do one of two things. Rip the Colts apart. Or make them even better.
I think the latter.
The Colts will beat the Steelers.

^You can quote that^

I can't wait for when the Pats play the Steelers. That will be a fun game to watch.
