Opening Day is Monday, and the White Sox are opening up against the Indians tomorrow.

Anyone got any preseason Championship picks? I think that you all know what mine is. :)

Curt Schilling lowered his era from 1.64 to 1.61 last night. Schilling also has recorded 2,855 career strikeouts which ties Jim Bunning at 15th in the oveall Strikeout records.
Red Sox are starting this season at 11 - 4.
In the AL, White Sox are 10 - 4 and the BoSox historic nemesis, Yankees are 7 - 7.
But this is April and the BoSox are Dandelions -- they bloom in the spring and die in the summer. I'd like to step out and predict the sox but I've been watching them more years than many of you have been alive and know better. That's why I hate the Yankees.

In the NL, the Mets are looking good this year at 10 - 4 and Houston at 10 - 5. But it is still too early. It's not like Football season when they only play 16 or 17 games in regular season.

I lot of "older" pitchers are off to a great start this year but the concern is if can they withstand a full season. Should be interesting to follow.

David Wells (43) is off to a terrible start. I'm sure he's lost himself to a bottle of Jack Daniel's during his 15 days on the DL.
If you are referring to Curt(Thirty-eight), that guy is primed and ready for a great season. He was off the mark last year because of the ankle injury he suffered during the 2004 play offs.

I wouldn't be surprised if you see Wells go down to AAA and then fall of the map. Gunther is right I think he will go to the bottle and lose himself. Schil. is looking great, he has control, power is back and keeps the batters off for the most part. Its fun to watch this man work the mound.
