Yes, coop this year in baseball is just like any other season. (excluding that fluke of 2004). This is how I see it:

AL East
NYY 73 - 48
BOS 69 - 53

AL Central
DET 79 - 44
CHISX 73 - 49

AL West
OAK 69 - 54

NL East
NYM 74 - 48

NL Central
STL 65 - 57
CINN 63 - 60

NL West
LAD 64 - 58
ARI 62 - 61
SAND 61 - 62

I really don't care about the National League, but only one team sticks out and even they will struggle against any of the AL leaders. Chicago White Sox will undboubtedly get the wild card slot because Bosox is struggling with their own insecurities right now. This Boston team in August is not the same team we saw in May and June. In June they went 16-2 against the NL and committed the fewest errors in baseball. Today, they are all washed up and Joe Torre has cracked the whip a tad harder. Even the Yankees will struggle against Jim Leyland's Tigers this year. So the only thing I can say about the 2006 Major League season is GO METS!!! 8)

I would have given anything to see the Red Sox vs. NY Mets only to relive the "86" series without Buckner. But that doesn't look to be happening at this current point in the standings with the Sox's slipping on that rag doll of a pitching staff arm they have going.

Yeeaaa! He is a broke-dick! He won't do anything there. He needs to go to the glue factory or put out to pasture.
