No smelly socks or jocks here just some good ranting about your favorite team.

That was my point exactly.

Like I said, before, "Enough with the negative waves, Moriarty."

and yes, I understood that the first time I read it, it was irrelevant then just as it is now.

BoSox go up 3-0. Rockies still have to face Becket again so i'm going to go out on a limb and say that the Red Sox are going to win the series.

Daisuka Matsuzaka waited till October to come out of his shell and show what he can do. He pitched shutout ball into the 6th Inning giving up only 3 hits. This is the type of ball that earned him the Asian MVP award last year.

Two other rookies, Jacoby Ellsbury and Dustin Pedroia were earning their stripes as well. Pedroia is already getting a rep for a strong bat and fast run, but the lead off batter last night, Ellsbury was the real surprise. This kid (22 years old?) became the first rookie in 61 years to get 4 hits in a series game. In the 3rd Inning alone, he hit two doubles.

Just prior to Ellsbury's 2nd double, Matsuzaka hit a single to left that drove in two runs. I remember Pedro Martinez in a similar situation 4 year ago against the Cardinals and couldn't hit his way out of a wet paper bag.

Marcie, you might be right. Jon Lester is on the mound tonight. That youngster has a terrifying fast ball too. 8)

I don't *think* Lester has pitched at Colorado before, but I might be wrong. He's gotta be careful with that fastball up at Mile High, though... I was impressed last night with Matsuzaka; surprised they left him in that long, too, but he did well for not pitching in that environment.

The ball does weird things up there!

You can read about Jon Lester, Boston's Starting Pitcher and Aaron Cook, Colorado's starting pitcher here. Both are survivors.
