Playoffs Week 1 of the Enforcers FF League
A Tie!!!
Give me a break! How do we decide a tie? Is it overall points scored during the season? Do we make the NFL teams play another week of games to decide our tie? What impact will this have on our final game?
ESPN uses two weeks to decide who advances and who does not. Since Boston and Bubbles had a tie this week, Week 15 will decide who moves on to Round 2 of the Enforcers FF League Playoffs.
Winners Bracket
#2 Boston Eagles and. #3 Bubble Boys tied 103 to 103. Ugh! Adrian Peterson, MINN, RB, had 26 carries for 97 yards and 2 TDs giving Bubble Boys 25 FF Points. Ray Rice, BAL, RB, had 13 carries for 166 yards and 1 TD giving Boston 25 FF Points
#4 Morgan Raiders soundly defeated #1 San Francisco NorfolkinChance 132 – 87 eliminating San Francisco from the competition. Fred Jackson just can’t keep up with Ronnie Brown. Chris Johnson, TENN, RB, had 28 carries for 117 yards and 2 TDs giving Morgan 35 FF Points. Ryan Grant, GB, RB, had 20 carries for 137 yards and 2 TDs giving San Francisco 25 FF Points.
Consolation Bracket
#6 Toledo Dobermans barely squeaked by #5 San Diego Dread Pirates 81 – 80 securing their advancement in the Consolation Bracket. Thomas Jones, NYJ, RB, had 24 carries for 99 yards and 2 TDs giving Toledo 21 FF Points. Dallas Clark, IND, TE, had 5 receptions for 43 yards and 3 TDS giving San Diego 22 FF Points.
#7 Maine iacs Squashed #8 Kansas City Sad Chiefs 141 – 48. Brandon Marshall, DEN, WR, had 21 receptions for 200 yards and 2 TDs giving Maine 32 FF Points. Randy Moss, NE, WR, had 1 reception for 16 yards giving Kansas City -1 FF Point. Moss only had 4 passes come his way. Two he fumbled and the third was an interception right in front of him. He took no defensive action whatsoever to stop the defender from gaining any yardage; Lame. If it wasn’t for Wes Welker, the Pats would have lost that game.
The Enforcers player of the week for Week #1 of the Playoffs is:
Chris Johnson, TEN, RB
Matthew Harvey - AHN Sports Reporter writes…
Nashville, TN (AHN) - Tennessee Titans running back Chris Johnson has claimed two more franchise records following Sunday's obliteration of the St. Louis Rams, 47-7. Johnson has claimed the single season yards record by adding 117 rushing yards and 69 receiving yards in that game, for a total of 2,017 offensive yards.
He has also gone eight games in a row with over 100 yards rushing, a new franchise record he established.
Should Johnson step up his running game a final notch he could possibly even eclipse the 2,000 rushing yard mark.
He has three more games to do it, and is at 1,626 yards on the season.
A second-year player, Johnson was signed by the Titans with their first pick in the 2008 college draft.
He was named to the Pro Bowl in his rookie year, and helped carry the Titans to a 13-3 record.
