Did some research and apparently the only real problems with it is that the warranty is short (1 year) and the software that comes with it blows... But I can live with that for a frickin' awesome 22" monitor.

I would say it's nice but getting it from office depot?. Circuit City has it on sale this week for $329.99. And you can buy the extended service plan to cover it for the next 5 years. But a nice monitor nun the less.

.

$329, plus tax, which is about 6% in most states. So it's really $329 + 19.80 = $349.79

In contrast, this similar Acer monitor with a 3 year warranty is $259.99 + $13.97 shipping (tax in NJ and CA) is $273.96. It lacks the built in speakers, and the HP you're looking at has a slightly (700 vs 1000) better contrast ratio. The HP's stand also looks a hell of a lot better. I typically use the height adjustments only, but some people like side to side and the ability to turn the monitor portrait. The Acer weighs less.

Anyhow, both look like nice monitors. It's really up to you to decide. For the extra $, you might consider the added contrast and ability to move the monitor worth it. The Acer has a longer warranty, is cheaper and about half the weight, which is important if the monitor is moved a lot. Either way, you'll have a great 22" widescreen with a great response time.
