Price Check

Postby Gunther » Thu May 14, 2009 12:13 pm

If I were to build a computer, what would I need? how do I put it together? and how much would it cost? I'm looking for the top 3 items in each category; processors, motherboard, hard drives, etc. Could someone in the know post links for me?

Gunther, can I just caution you to consider your past track record with getting computers to work?

In the past, I've spent $3,000 to $3500. If we can stay in that ball park that would be great. Although, one of hte reasons I am investigating this option is because I hear it is less expensive.

That's not really the case anymore, you can get a lot more machine from a place like ibuypower.com than you could build for the same money.
