When to upgrade to Ivy bridge

I am itching to upgrade my old dog to new hardware. The ivy bridge processors are out (at least some of them) should I wait or is it safe. I am not sure because of the problems with the sandy bridge MBs which required a recall so it may be better to wait for a bit.

Any opinions?

I would wait another month or two. The mobos out there are still too shiny for my likeing.

Yep I think I will wait for the CPU/MB and buy some of the other components first like PSU, case, and video card.

The CPU shows as out of stock, might need to pick another. I like the MSI and Gigabyte motherboards, I've had quite a few over the years.
The EVGA video cards are rock solid. My current 575 and my last one, a 275, were great. Stable and overclocked nicely. Plus the warranty on them is great.
Don't you have an MSND subscription? I haven't bought an OS license in 10 years.

Newegg had a deal today on the MSI MB so I ordered it and will most likely go with the EVGA board. I had a few of them in the past with zero issues.

Isn't the MSND sub expensive? I am a little peaved because up until last year my company worked a lot with Microsoft for joint software development so we could be home use software for almost nothing. We must of pissed them off as we are no longer eligible for the program
