The realm is irrelevant Monkey. I generally go into AV with folks from several different realms. Not all from Thrall.

this is what I have experienced in AV:
The first couple of days I was doing it, the gates would rise, we run out, mount up and race for a GY or a hold and take it in no time at all. then race for Frostwulf hold and take the GY on the other side of the bridge. then slowly pull mobs out of the keep until Drakk is the only one left. then everyone rushes in to kill him. I would get 7-10 HKs and 3 marks in less than 20 minutes and repeat. Not a lot of honor but the marks add up quick.

Next day, Horde stop the alliance at a GY or hold and I am only one to make it to Frostwulf Hold. I am puzzled. Where is everyone? I can't defeat the NPCs here by myself. so I run back to find the rest of the 40-man raid party. Along the way, I inevitebly get killed and respawn at the only GY left for alliance at their end of hte map. The remainder of the fight is the Horde keeping hte Alliance bottled up and no one wins. Eventually folks start /AFKing out in order to stop it. the HKs go up but no marks are recieived because this goes on forever. I get sick of it and /AFK out.

I got sick of that Bull shit and stopped going. Now the guys are telling me that they go into AB with a group of 10-15 with the intent to lose. The gates open and they go nowhere. Allow the horde to swarm over the place taking 4 bases and ending the game in 10 minutes getting 1 mark and no honor. Sounds like a good deal if you want to collect a few marks.

But yet again, the Horde change their tactics in AV. Now instead of "Turtling" the Alliance back to the GY, they put 35 guys on defense at Frostwulf GY and begin to continually kill Alliance until everyone starts to /AFK out because they are getting bored with it.

For me the repetitive death loop of rezzing, fighting, killing, dying, rezzing, fightiing, killing dying, repeat is boring. That is the thing that I hate about PvP. I have not yet seen this last tactice of defending with 35 people. I guess they send their rogues and druids forward.

The AB thing has been going on since it was released. The key to AB is having the farm, BS and LM. All three are quickly and easily defended from the bridge. This gives a huge advantage to the owners because instead of trying to guess what the next target is the can place a central defense team and respond as needed. The horde knows this and generally get those three out of the gate and then hang on to win. However with a little tactics they are easily defeated, but the Alliance usually just quits before they start. It is very sad. The same is true for WSG, the game is over before it starts because the Alliance lacks any knowledge of tactics and when someone actually tries to lead them no one follows. The old saying that the Alliance is just a bunch of little kids is almost completely true. AV is the only one that isn't a complete thrashing and I think it is because it is almost as much of a PvE as a PvP. I like AV because I can sit on defense and there are a couple of choke points along the path to the Ally's base where as a hunter I can take terrain advantages and just rack up huge kill stats in short order.

just look at how sweet your priest looks now road, how could you not want to come back.
I still raid end game content 5-6 nights a week and really enjoy it. I have had bc beta since sept and lvl 70 with an epic flying mount is pretty darn fun. bc will make it a lot easier for the casual player to keep up wiht the hardcore players(atleast more then before)

I always knew monkey would resub, but dang, that was quick. It was good timing though, I'd just finished Twilight Princess and both Metroid Primes, didn't have much else to do. Happy Feast of the Winter Veil everyone!

Love the hat bulldog. The old priest seems to have moved up some. It is nice to see that the higher level priest stuff is not as horrible looking as the lower tier.
