Ok Monkey, I attempted to use LLC's search engine to find LLC's Lost Colony game and this was their response:

I'm not downloading it until after other idiots do... No amount of research can find a mention of it anywhere... :-\

of course, if it is a hoax, they sure did go to a lot of work to do it. At the very least they had to make the forum and make a little background for the game. They also had to make (or steal covertly) the pictures they have up.

Dawn did the same thing though, they had "in game" screen shots and all kinds of other stuff, it was very convincing and they managed to carry it on for months.
