I think pvp will be ridiculously unbalanced.

Rhonnin is right that pvp in these types of games will never be balanced. With different abilities per classes, different levels of gear, and trying to balance a class for pvp and pve will alway lead to imbalance. You will have your typical pvp ganking classes rouges (wow) and stalkers (CoV) that can excel but have limited use in pve and then the opposite.

If you accept that pvp is imbalanced then it can be fun even if you are on the short end of the stick just don't think the devs will be able to balance your particular class if it is.

I predict the PVP servers will be filled with Necros and wolf shamen.

By the way, huge patch today, among the changes were the DK revamp and the tools for forming guilds in game.

Looks like Kurashasa Dread Knight for me. I didn't realize there was a cat-like race. I always enjoyed the Vah Shir about as much as the Ogres in EQ. I will either be all black (Panther), Black and white striped (Siberian) or with a full mane (Lion) if those details are available.

Kurashasa

Other worldly trackers and fierce hunters, the kurashasa are among the most feared beings in the outer planes. Their Great Hunt of the rift walking ahnd’ka has led them to the world of Qur’xa and its temple of twisting gates.

A sneak attack upon the Temple of Qur’xa by the last vestiges of the ahnd’ka has caught the proud kurashasa by surprise, and now the savage world of Qur’xa has been transformed into a battlefield. The psychic yothkai, allies of the kurashasa and keepers of the temple, have been forced to abandon the temple to their mutual enemy. Should the ahnd’ka unravel the wards on the twisting gates and cross the planes then the Great Hunt must follow.

Cunning, powerful and intelligent, the kurashasa are feared by their enemies and allies alike. The kurashasa are deadly combatants, and make some of the best Warriors, Dread Knights, Rangers, Rogues, Disciples, Sorcerers, Psionicists and Necromancers.

The Ranger
The Vanguard Ranger will build on how they are often seen in RPG lore, but will be implemented differently. The Ranger will possess considerable martial prowess, spells, as well as stealth and tracking skills.

Looks good to me. I really want to get ingame and start trying out classes, though. It looks like a great deal of variety to choose from. Also might want to try out a Paladin ingame as well. :D
I kill people IRL.

Well if your a PvPer, in my opinion PvP should be for a grp activity not solo and with the right clases its not imbalanced. But I dont mind the imbalancing and im not one to jump on the hot class of the month.. I just like the extra flair of looking over yer shoulder and the getting revenge part...

Ive been playing these lvl grinding games since UO Eq1 ect.. ect.. and the PvE servers lacking.... Especially if you cant constantly play and get into a great raiding guild.. I have 2 kids and a job that works different hrs all the time..

Ive found PvP servers to be waaaay more exciting and if there is one available ill allways take them first..

The main reason I don't like PvP servers in WoW is that I am rarely grouped and IMO grouping is necessary for World PvP. I hate the individual attitude of most PvPers who feel they have to take on the world alone. I would much prefer bring the weight of a well balanced guild down upon my opponents, but that rarely is the case. I won't jump into BGs unless I am going in with a couple guildies. And we always Cover Our Asses and work together as a team.

And there in lies the rub. I really think that any RP server should have FFA PVP on it but I just have never seen it done well in an MMORPG.

Rhonin and Gunther have said it perfectly.. The right guild and grp make all the diference.. I ont know about WoW because im just trialing it for 10 days so Ive no idea.. But all the other games ive played with it Im w/ a grp of friends and we make char that complement each other for PvP as a Guild SHOULD do .
