Battlefield 2 Ladder

Postby roadrunner » Tue Aug 23, 2005 2:48 pm

With the renewed interest in Battlefield 2 we might be able to look into some competitive action. If we could establish 10-12 regular BF2 players that want to represent the enforcers we could look at an 8 versus 8 ladders. There are 5 versus 5 ladders if we can’t field enough tE. I will do some research and add some more info later.

For those who never played in ladders all I can attest that it is a blast. Please post here if interested so that we can get a handle on numbers.

Once you guys feel you can participate in a ladder here's a good one:

They do ladders for tons of games. My old America's Army clan used it and it works pretty well.

8 v 8 is a good split. naturally, I'm already thinking tactics. the 16 man servers I believe have no aircraft. they are strictly infantry/armor battles. We can organize as follows:

1- Commander
6-Infantry squad
1-sniper/recon (spots for the infantry.)

GunthertE, Lv3, TR on Mattherson
Landain, Lv3, TR on Jaeger

Sense you guys are using teamwarfare here's what should be a good ladder for you. 8vs8 North American server.

Here is the current stats for that ladder:

I rethought the tactical organization and came up with this:

1-Commander
2-Armor squad (M1A1 use) 1x tank
5-Infantry Squad (HMMWV use)2x HMMWV which the commander can ride in making 2x vehicles with 3 men per.

Kits used
Commander SF (or his preference)
Armor - ENG & Medic
Infantry - 1-ENG, 1-MED, 1-SPT, 1-ASLT & 1-AT

As the battle unfolds we can switch kits depending on the situation.
Too many vehicles? turn the ASLT into an AT for awhile
Too many Infantry? turn the AT into SPT for awhile.

Well, first you need to enter your team/yourself into a ladder. Than you can go to it through my team. The Roster only shows up for people entered in ladders. You must enter the Enforcers into a ladder Road, than everyone else can join in.

God i hate that website. You can not see the E-mail address you are typing in. Therefore, as in my case if you make a mistake you could quite possibly register your log in name under some other E-mail address that may belong to someone else or no one at all. Why does everything have to be so difficult? Why do they make it so you can't see what you are writing? that is stupid.
