Here's an RTS that has perked my attention. If you feel that "Your" leader character isn't doing enough, you can actually enter "Hero" mode and become one of the soldiers on the battlefield. Not just "any" soldier, you are the leader wielding a sword, hammer or bow slashing the enemy apart with your soldiers by your side. I have only played the demo today. But this is a cool game. It is in available on Xfire if you have it.
