Although little info is given they could do some really cool things with this stuff. (If you like PvP, so Gunther you won't care :smt064 :smt023 )

Those are some interesting additions but it still doesn't change the biggest problem with pvp in wow. I found that even when I played the ability to pvp effectively was tied more to the quality of your gear then your ability. I would imagine now with the months of raiding and high lvl drops it is even worse between the have and have nots.

Yes this is most definitely still the case.

I dunno, red. GOod people will still own bad people, regardless of their items. My pally isnt getting much better gear in the game atm and its not like i am immortal. Ok, that may have a lot to do with me being a pally, but i stand by my comments.

We recently moved to a PvP server for a while to take a break from our PvE server characters before we got tired of'm. Monkey is a Tuaren Warrior and I'm a Forsaken Mage. Gotta say it's fun and we were really hurting the lvl 30's and 40's and skulls regardless of their gear. Probably because there were so many of us. But even if you have great gear and are an idiot about how you use your character, yeah, you'll still die.
A mage can have an Epic robe/staff but if he runs around going arcane explosion and frost nova. A guy 10 levels below him can still kill'm.

I stand by my comments as unless someone is a complete idiot gear does matter. I used to have a couple of different outfits I would use when pvping. One that had a ton of HPs but sacrificed some mana. I would just outlast melee with it. Another that had a bunch of +damage for the casters. Another for fighting other priests (very big mana pool). Until you hit 60 gear does not matter as much but from there it does. Lower level gear you have to sacrifice one aspect to enhance another (small mana pool for big HPs). With the stats on the epic stuff you get the best of all worlds. Along with that you start to get resistance which makes it worse for the guy with the crappy gear.

The only time gear matters at less than lvl 60 is when someone has a twinked to the max alt, then you can tell. At level 60 gear becomes one of the main factors.

I've managed to but the beat down on a 60 warlock with epic gear...

Then again, she wasn't fight back... And when she did, she killed me in like... 4 hits... But still! I got her down to half health, at half her level!!

At 60 gear is about the only thing that matters in wow. Kind of sucks for the people that can't raid or devout 14 hours a day to the pvp grind. Wow is not for casuals at 60 and if you haven't hit 60 yet you will find that out on your own.
