Ok, I enjoyed the Red Orchestra time we played together. I still have that installed and may play from time to time. I installed this one. I have no logged into the game yet. My in game name is LANDAIN. Many of you have seen me use this name before. One question, are we playing Axis or Allies? I'm fine with either one.

Either works for me as well, I'll try and get it downloaded and installed by tomorrow.
Maybe a Red Orchestra night would be worth planning some time too.

Yes it would be. I've been playing a fair amount recently and been enjoying it thoroughly. I would be happy to finally get to play RO with people I know again. Ditto on the stuff that Rhonnin said for WWII Online.

Ok, I logged in this morning after the DL finished during the overnight. You have the choice of German, French or British. The fighting is taking place in France between 1940-42. At that time, the Americans were not yet involved. Nov 8, 1942 the Americans landed in French Algiers and Morrocco on the North African coast during Operation Torch (Eisenhower). The Americans would land in Europe until the Sicily invasion in 1943.

I personally don't care to play a French soldier, but will check out all three. Also, you can play as a member of one of several different units. I noticed the British had 2 Infantry with Each Division organized into 2 Brigades. I recommend we try out Brit, German and French and the Special air Service, Guards and Commando units in each of those three. I'm kind of leaning toward British Commandos personally.

British sounds good to me, I'll be able to get my curry fix that way.

Beta, I'm hitting my WWII mood again. I feel like playing some RO again. And HOI...and Battlefield 1942.

Looks like I'm going to have to wait another day, but get started without me, tomorrow I know for sure I'll be getting this downloaded and all. Anyway, also, British definitely sounds very good to me. They had some pretty good rifles at the time, for bolt action anyway, the Enfield was nice. Commandos sounds about right for tE.

LOL

BTW this is interesting, it comapres the sizes of some older MMOs to that of this game. Photobucket scales down the image size but you can still kinda read the game names. Would be nice if someone would update it.
