Blizzard Announces second Expansion

This finished off WoW for me, Im not in the mood for another 10 levels, I barely tollerated the last 10, I wish Bliz had added content without the level cap then I would be intrested. And another thing, why did they waste time with all these end game instance and months and months of attunement if they are going to be useless yet again in a few months?

IMO Blizzard is robbing people from good gameplay already in existance by adding more and more for the small percentage of addicts who can actually keep up all the time with it. I feel bad for people who haven't had the oportunity to run Scholo or even Molten Core/BWL/ZG just because they are useless now. Those instances were fun for me and I know people are missing out. Let alone the Naxxaramas, Black Temple, Caves of time ect. now all of those are shit canned and going to be lost yet again.

It pisses me off quite a bit, Im just glad I was able to experience most of the game before they dipped it in the can the first time.
-----------
My faith in MMOs is getting more and more scarce, first SWG now WoW  Not to mention the disapointment Vanguard was *sigh* will there ever be a good game for casual players again?

Sounds like the way bard songs are done in Vanguard.

aren't they already having server merges?

They haven't said when they will be doing it but yea, going down to 1 FFA PVP, 1 euro PVE and 1 U.S. PVE.

I see a lot of people saying that end game gear becomes useless with expansions, that sounds like serious balance issues to me if the gear is such a gigantic leap that it is rendering everything else in the game worthless. Even in EQ1, which is very raid oriented at the end, doesn't have such issues with gear.

I quit over a month ago. The sad thing is that the "potential" of the game is far better than WoW it was released way to early. SoE may try and save it but even if they fix all the issues it will never have much success. It will be like PS where they have enough subscriptions to justify some development and a few servers but nothing else.

IMO they should remove attunement for all 60 instances when BC came out, and remove attunement for all 70 instances when next instance comes out.

sure the gear won't be near as good 10 levels apart, but I hear naxxramus is pretty bad ass, and I've never been.

drox, the entire point of the game is to level your character. Why would you want to stop? what can you do now? i have leveled 2 characters to 70, the paladin cause i love my class and th emage cause i was bored. i did gruul and karazhan and raiding is boring. i do pvp and after i get my helm i have the set. why would i not want to do 10 more levels? questing is the best part of the game. i gear my characters so that i have fun leveling. i dont gear them because i want to sit with the same item(s) for the rest of my life. i had t2 and harold of woe for like a year. that was stupid.
adding more and more for the small percentage of addicts who can actually keep up all the time with it.
i got my pally to lvl 70 inside a month, my mage was casual and it took zero time. i dunno man, i need something to do.

and ruining good content? such as? do you run a lot of hellfire citadel? i dont even bother doing instances any more. There is so much content in wow that you cant do it all anyway. i doubt you still level characters from zero but ok, say you do. do you get 5 people and grind 2hrs thru scarlet monestary? i dont. i have a 70 take me thru in 10 mins. all the fun is at end game. at lvl 80 you can get a 5 man and take your lowbies thru molten core. you dont have time to do bwl ive never even seen naxzramas. im not going to do SSC. Theres enough stuff that you can pick what you want to do and focus on that. eveyone i know is dyiubg for content.
Hard pressed on my right. My center is yielding. Impossible to maneuver. Situation excellent, I am attacking!

I am pretty happy with every instance, and I achieved that level of happiness after the first run through. so I'd like to have done every instance/raid at least once, and hopefully, ONLY once. pve isn't that interesting to me, but I'd like to see it all that first time.

Im not saying it will kill the game, but for me personally Im only going to be home 2 days a week in the near future, and most of that time will be doing other stuff than MMOs, I dont have time to do another 10 levels, I liked the days where I could come home, be max level and do whatever I wanted. I could gank, End Game, PvP, grind and alt, help a lowbie. And asside from raiding I could do all that for 15 minutes or 5 hours. I don't mind grinding but I have never been one to enjoy leveling, I enjoy having a finished product. And now especially I am falling farther and farther behind, and the new Xpac isn't even out yet.

As far as the instances. Yes it is true no one will run 2 hours of a level 55 instance because there is no need. I wasn't arguing that. What I was saying is there are entertaining instances, with fun content and good story line that some people will never get to experience because they are sub-useless. And although it may be easy for you to round up 5 level 80 friends and run an instance, not everyone has that at their disposal.

As I said before, this killed the game for "me" personally, I don't think it will finish off WoW.
