What servers you guys on?
I played a bit last night on Forest of Shadows Server.
I have a Lv3 Chaos Zealot named Gunther.
This is a decent Class. It is like a healing Necromancer. Kind of an odd twist.
We should try to get on the same server next week when the game goes live; for those of us who will be playing.

Since We are going Deso at release, I decided to roll Order during beta. I'm on Abhorash server.

RvR:
I took Gunther, Lv4 Chaos Zealot into the RvR instance and went 1:1 against a Lv9 (magical caster type). He was nuking me with columns of fire and I was healing out of them everytime. I knew he would eventually kill me, but I survived long enough for someone to come to my aid and we took him down.

When I took Landain, Lv4 Order Warrior Priest into this same instance on a different server, I got owned in a matter of seconds. My heals just didn't cut it. The fight was over before I knew it. After that, I relegated myself to a support role and insured I stayed with someone else during the fighting. I kept them healed and when I was being attacked they kept me healed.

In both RvR fights, my team won. I had a K/D ratio of 18:1 on Destruction side and 17:4 on Order side. I had more killing blows on Destruction side too.

You can keep your witch hunter, which I Know is overpowered already. I'll go Zealot. ;)

I <3 the RvR! Since the preview weekend, Ive played most of the classes and all of the archetypes. My favorite has to be the tank, specifically the Black Orc/Swordmaster. Im just not a fan of the twisting auras. Mass survivability and decent damage to boot!

During the Preview Weekend, I played on Cracker drak? Im not sure, but it reminded me of Cracker Jacks, thus being the best server on the list! For the Open Beta Ive been playing on Helborg and Helbrass. Mainly Order, since I had my Destruction fix earlier. Destruction just has more flavor IMO. They outnumber the Order a fair bit on the servers Ive been playing on. Makes open world RvR a bit funky, but I always just ran away due to my ranged awesomeness that was a Shadow Warrior...

Heres a list of servers and when theyll be up.

Sylvania gets my vote, light bulbs FTW?! =P

For retail, Im looking at maining a Black Orc or Zealot. Next up would be a Squig Herder or Marauder. Ive found the non caster dps to be very consistent but not very threatening. One on one you can kite just about everything.

my 2 cents:

1, if order is underpopulated well, i like being the underdog. i like wow where i am always outgunned. Remember, We're Enforcers...

also, as summed up by penny arcade today:

I was looking over the patch notes for World of Warcraft 3.0.2 on the public test realm - the ones that aren't even complete yet - and they're fucking ridiculous. When they said you'd need to spend a billion dollars to beat these guys, I assumed it was like raising your hackles, or thrashing your venomous tail - a predator's warning on entering its territory. Maybe its closer to an actual fact.

The alterations here are vast, but this is only the most recent reinvention. The World of Warcraft people are playing now isn't the one they launched, the one that was so unstable we had to withdraw our earlier praise. It isn't any of the innumerable alterations they've made to classes, or raids, or any of the savvy swipes they've made from user modifications. The game is a completely living document. How do you design against it? And even if you wanted to play something else, who would you play it with? Everyone you know is raiding tonight.
Hard pressed on my right. My center is yielding. Impossible to maneuver. Situation excellent, I am attacking!

Since the collectors edition headstart began, the servers have been just about even throughout. The worst Ive seen was a "low/med" population for order/destruction in the dead of night. And oddly enough, I saw more order players than destruction at the time. Im sure all the servers will be "full/full" or "high/high" after it hits stores. The population is controlled so there wont be too many of one side. Ive even seen a queue to get in for one side. I think the population balance will be fine.

Communication > 3:1 zerg. You will dominate unorganized players with ingame chat let alone voice chat. Keep in mind the game is built around large numbers of players brawling it out at key locations.

Its a good thing Mythic has stated publicly they arent looking to overtake Warcraft. Taking on Blizzard would just be suicidal. Money can be made at *not the number one slot.* Number two is their goal. Giving a generous 500,000ish subscribers for the current owner to Warcrafts 10-11 odd million, theres a nice piece of the pie sitting around collecting dust.

Heres the billion dollar quote.

Heres a September 15th interview with the VP of Mythic. Drags on a bit but its interesting to see where he stands with EA and other publishers in the MMO genre.

Unfortunately I may not be able to play until next week. I am currently without power at my apartment and probably won't get it restored until Friday at which time I am leaving town for a few days. So somebody make some decisions and pick a server and let everyone know before launch so we don't have a clusterfuck finding each other.
