Alot of people on one of the EQ2 server boards I read seem to like it, they all say about the same thing though that it wont keep your attention for a long time but it's worth buying.

It's fun. It has an actual story line that you're a part of. By doing the missions at certain places you get cutsences when finished or during and it leads you to new areas of the game. Makes you feel like your having an effect on the world around you.

The only thing that really bothers me is the very linear travel through zones and mobs have clipping so you can't walk through them.

Yeah long term it probably won't hold a ton of people, but with no fees I think it's worth it as you can pop on a year from now without having to resub etc etc.

We really prefer the word "fantasy" and no. Magic, swords, shields, bows and arrows... that's where it's at.

Ancient weapons and hokey magic is no match to a good blaster at your side. If you like PvP get Guild Wars, if you don't, then you'll still get hours of fun out of the pve and exploring the world
