yes. I was in from 1982-2003.
I spent 5 years enlisted as a Unit Supply Clerk and.....
then attended Officer Candidate School and became.....
An Infantry Officer for the remainder of my time in.
I was deployed to Bosnia-Herzegovina in 2001-2002 as a Battle Captain in the Division Operations Center. My job was to maintain situational awareness of significant events occurring in our Area of Responsibility (AOR) and keep the Division Commander and his staff updated. I briefed a Brigadier General nightly on what activity happened in our sector.

If this is what you meant to say, the answer is no.

You could have mean to say, "Gunther, Did you see a movie starring Dennis Quaid as a mercenary soldier, while you were in that Bosnian War? It was pretty good."

It came out a bit confusing. I didn't see this movie either.

I think I'm learning more about history from gunther and beta than I did from school.

Learning from people, like Gunther, who have actually participated in historic events always makes it more interesting. I had a history teaching in high school that knew all kinds of minor details about various events, bits of personal conversation and trivia about the participants, ect..., though he wasn't really there he made it seem like he was and it really made the subject come alive.

I could be commander if he doesn't want it because I'm am very experienced in the commander role. 29-7 as commander in 16 or 32 player maps.
