Leading squads

Some tips for using the commands to direct your squad would be greatly appreciated, for the life of me I can't figure out how to set the waypoints for attack, defend, ect... for spots beyond visual range.

You have to use the map and use the secondary mouse button to bring up a list.

For all you newbs out there. You can hit caps lock and it will bring up a different map than the spawn map. Then on a specific location to your desires you right click above it. Then it will give you a list of requests you can send to your commander for supplies, UAV and Artillery. It also lists orders to your squadmembers of Attack, Repair, Defend, Destroy and Move. You can also zoom on that map clicking the zoom button from that list. This can give more exact locations on the map. Also available under commander map.
