Happy Holidays All!
For the holidays, we have turned on the usual Hats, Corpse back pack replacement and lights in selected trees. In addition, we have created 3 small holiday exploration merits that will open up 3 new limited use toys at the beginning of January. If you do the leg work you will be able to open up access to the following items:
A more powerful Med Kit - This will allow you to get back 100 points of health in one shot
A new Stamina Kit - Also gives you 100 points of stamina back
A new Armor Kit - This will give you up to 200 points of armor back instantly as well.
Note: Each item will have a limited use timer on it. For example, you will only be able to use each item once within 20 or 30 minutes. This is supposed to be a fun new trinket item that will be available immediately when we turn off the event at the first part of January. This is not supposed to be a game swaying or game mis-balancing item. And considering we're big softies around here, we'll probably turn the items on for everyone to use only after we have given those that worked for it ample time to use it first.
General Development
We've started work on new branches off the Combat Engineering profession. These are a few of the things we are working on and we are anticipating to be live at the end of January.
Defensive Role:
Increased number of current deployables: Spitfires, mines, boomers and motion sensors
Cloaking Spitfires
Flak Spitfires
Tank Traps - Causes a nice amount of damage to armored vehicles.
Cloaking Shield - Used to seek refuge and heal up. Most amount of hit points of all the cloaking shields. Similar to an AMS shield; Enemies cannot shoot through it; Cannot be deployed in enemy SOI
Upgrades to Tower/Base Wall Turrets
Offensive Role:
Ammo Supply Terminal deployment. Only contains ammo for your empire; Has a large SOI or Interference Range (IR); Terminal is "hackable" and able to be destroyed.
Ability to drop Spitfires in enemy SOI
Cloaking Shield - similar to AMS shield. Less hit points than the defensive cloaking shield. More attributes we are flushing out at the moment
One-Manned Turret deployment - Field use Turrets; Empire specific models (weapons and textures); Designed to suppress not to be a kill-all weapon; "Probably" high hit points or use combination of an Energy Shield; Turning radius similar to a Max's turning speed; Work in progress on the ammo supply available; Has an AMS style Interference Range; Cannot be deployed in enemy nor friendly SOI; Deconstructs if un-manned similar to vehicles; able to be "jacked".
Jammer Mines - will count towards total mine count; Jamming effect on vehicles.
Last Item - Outfit Wars
This is still being worked on but we need to postpone this until the first part of the year. We will take at least the top 2 teams from each empire and server (at least 6 teams per server). However, we need to schedule some additional games to figure out who those top two teams will be since all teams did not have the same amount of matches. We'll determine which teams will have a shot if we permit the extra games and allow them more matches until it is not necessary. Sorry for the delays on this!
