New Computer

Postby Droxor » Wed Jan 27, 2010 8:30 pm

Finally did it, 500gig hard drive, Nvidia Geforce 250 GTS card. So far I've played Fallout 3 and Mass Effect both on max graphics with 0 lag. Also I thought I'd hate windows 7 but I actually enjoy it.

I made the mistake of mentioning there was "Nothing" wrong with our old machine. I suggested we find a spot to set it up. I could use it to write on and she and the kids can use the new one to play games on. Her response was that it would mean finding a new desk for the old machine. I was waiting for the, "Well why the hell did we buy a new one?" line. But she didn't bother; thank God.

This machine is 5 years old. 1 GB RAM, P4 Proc, blah blah blah...its just old and slow. Who knows how many viruses. This was the machine that was corrupted by a hacker and I lost all my chit in WoW on. I don't want to use it to go online with anymore.

Moving forward, I am now more than ever interested in a decent FPS to try this new machine out on!

I've been using it for about 3 weeks now and I have to agree. Win 7 is pretty amazing. Microsoft hit this one out of the park.

Agreed. Although I am having problems with forums. If I try to edit a post, it jumps to the top of the text box, so I can not see what I am attempting to edit. This goes for adding Bold tags or quote tags. Anyone know a way to stop it from doing that? quite annoying.

Fixed D. I guess I should have not ignored the errors during a upgrade :D
