database and forum tool suggestions....

Postby Draconis » Thu Aug 25, 2011 8:29 pm

Looking for suggestions on good and easy to use tools to make a web accessible database and forum. Trying to help a local non-profit set them up for membership tracking and other information. Free would be best.

Thanks in advance!

I use Joomla and its pretty easy to work with and there are a lot of extensions that help to add more functionality. For a new site you may want to use Kunena for the forum because it is integrated into Joomla. With PHPBB3 its harder to get everything working right. There are other CMS out there I just found Joomla the easiest.
