If you produce a good game, it's cheaper, look at WoW.

$64 million to develop it, BUT it makes $15 per month, from 7 million people. Ontop of about $30-50 for the game itself.

That's making your money back and then some. Consoles on the other hand are expensive to develop, and to manufacture, and all that mumbo-jumbo. And if they flop you're boned in the ass, like Sony (or nintendo for that matter) will be if the console flops. Microsoft doesn't really matter, they've got billions in the bank, they could make a slew of fucked up consoles and not feel a thing in their wallet.

Thats why Microsoft could make the best system possible.... Because they have the $$$ to produce it. Hell, Xbox360 could have dominated during this year between X360 and PS3, but Microsoft didn't do it... Shame...

Well, I think the marketing and the price will go along way to help the Wii, people are resistant to change and that funky controller is very different, fortunately Nintendo has experience in pushing the bounds of controllers and the resulting flop, the glove anyone. Heck I might buy one just for the exercise

So who here remembers the olympics game that had the pad you placed on the ground and ran and jumped on. Ahhh the memories. And while we are talking old school, did anyone else ever play the E.T. game for Atari. Did anyone ever figure out the purpose of that game, you literally didn't have anything to do except move back and forth in that crater. That game was so sweet.

Actually I have heard of that game. GamePro rated the top 50 moments in gaming and the creation of E.T. was a significant landmark in how badly wrong games can go. Said it was one of the worst game evers and since it was the very first game to be created after a movie franchise, some believe that it set the trend for most movie games to follow.

THE BEST GAME EVER! Seriously, I would still have to consider this my favorite game. Just wish I had an NES, duck hunt, and a light gun. *Sniff*
