parachutes?

Postby roadrunner » Mon Aug 22, 2005 6:46 am

It’s sad but I cannot figure out how some people can seem to jump off of a curb and get their parachute to deploy. I spend a lot of time running around with half health just because I can’t seem to get the chute to work. I have tried rapidly tapping the key to pausing before I hit it.

Does anyone know the secret it’s driving me crazy?

Rapid tapping works, but you have to make sure you have enough space to deploy, experiment you'll get it down

I make sure I am sprinting and then jump before pulling the chute. I do have problems, but get it to deploy most of the time. It does take practice.

I was in the same boat as you road, you have to make sure you get out away from whatever you are jumping off then hit the shoot key like a madman.

Hmm this may be my issue. I was never concern about my distance to objects. There must be a check for that so that might be why I was going splat so often.
