Apparently none of the 13 who viewed this post including myself has the game you mention. Therefore, felt no need to post as without possessing the game nor knowledge to assist you, any post would be a shorcoming. But then I would have assumed from the lack of a follow on post that this might be the case.

I haven't played Republic Commando online Multiplayer. Singleplayer is excellent and the best small-squad based shooter I've ever seen. You actually have to rely on your team and what you tell them to do makes a difference. I find myself wishing that Four player Co-op had been enabled, but the multiplayer is limited to "classic" fps multiplayer.

I have done some brief deathmatches over LAN and I can say that it'll be much like Halo because you have shields. Also, it seems the "good" weapons are way overpowered comparatively so I don't think I'd recommend it for just multiplayer. Then again, I've only tried it briefly.

It's one of the best single player FPSes out there, I place it there up with HL2.

I really don't think it would hold your interest too long. I played through the single player. Best part of the game. Very interactive and sweet, easily commanded squadmates.

Multiplayer could use a bit more however...it's just really UT2K4 Star Wars style...zerg zerg zerg.
I kill people IRL.

UT2k4 was awesome. (I know thats very off topic, just saying. Zerg isn't always bad, unless your playing starcraft and get rushed)

Amen to that.
Zerg is not always a bad thing. It's fun every no and then in games to just go the mindless killing route.

But when every game you play is that it kind of gets old no matter what type of game it really is. I'm just saying the multiplayer is really not something different, it's just the same as most games out there on the Unreal Engine.
