Halo 2 for the PC

Ya but seriously this pisses me off, Halo 2 would of been longer, better, more exciting on PC, but when the designers realised the game they developed was too much for the Puny Xbox they had to dumb down the graphics, cut the storyline, and just a multitude of other things. I really dont see the logic in saying it should of been a console game purely. Im just hoping this will be a Halo 2.5 bigger, better, no cutting.

Halo 2 was not as good as Halo 1.
Period.
What they tried to do graphically on the Xbox in Halo 2 was just not that great. A good number of things were well done, but if you watch the texture shifting you see in CUT scenes, it really just makes you think what could of been.

your both right in wrong at the same time Heavy

Halo 2's Multiplayer is alot better then Halo 1's, I think alot will notice that.

But the Storyline was fractured due to time constraint's and lack of centralization. Halo 1 told you a story, it was fantastic, you went along for the ride and you loved it. Halo 2 starts off with a bang, but fizzles in the middle, and leaves you wondering at the End "Why did I have to play as the Arbiter?". And the Graphics problem you notice Heavy, but you must also notice how much better the graphics were on the PC verison of Halo then on the Xbox Verison, Halo 2 textures had to be Low Res, it is probably the best looking game.......in low resolution. Overall Halo 2 just was too much for the Xbox to handle and it had to be Sliced in order to meet its Requirements.

I wish they would have included the simpler maps from Halo 1 on the PC to Halo 2. I really liked some of the outdoor ones. An option for indestructible vehicles (like those in Halo 1) would have been nice for certain games too.

Indestructable Vehicles are a bad idea, dont you remember how that sucked in Blood Gulch :-S

I have to go with Halo 1's story and weapons. Pistol and AR, heck yeah.

Halo 2 has an awesome multiplayer.

Blood Gulch was too big for infantry battles with less than 16 people imo. I agree, on smaller maps the indestructible vehicles were too powerful, but they added a different element to the bigger ones. The option of having a match with them (or infinite grenades, for that matter) would have been nice.

Air battles on Desert Island were a lot of fun too, but they made the banshee suck too much the second time around.

How about the fual rod in multiplayer in Halo 2 period. Or the flamer.
Halo 2 did have a better multiplayer. And some of the in game graphics and effects were better done in Halo 2 then 1.
I do look forward to what will be in Halo 2 PC.

Some? Heavy it had alot better graphics, dispite having low Res textures put in the game to compensate for it being on the Xbox
