well I have a wood elf chick, so far the game is like Bleh.. really kills my Fps aswell.

Kills your FPS? What in your rig? I have:
AMD64 3800
1gb DDR400
Radeon 9800 Pro
And the lowest my FPS drops to is like... 18, and thats only if there are more than 6 or 7 NPCs on screen. Otherwise I'm in the mid 30's

well Oblivion doesnt support the new 7900gt's so it stutter's a bit i think the setting are on medium. i average 40+

Yea, the highest Nvidia it supports is the 7800. I'd except 7900 support one day in the future.

For the most part, you are a loner.
UNLESS:
You are leader in some of the guilds. For example:
Leader of Assassins Guild = Assassins to follow you
Leader of Mages Guild = Mages to follow you
Leader of Fighters Guild = Fighters to follow you (I am guessing, I have not done that quest line yet)
Also, if you have Conjuration spells, you can summon a creature to follow you. But unlike Morrowind, you can only have one summoned creature.

Leader of Mages Guild = Mages to follow you

The leader of the fighters guild doesn't get one but when you become grand champion of the Arena you get a groupie. He doesn't fight and really just follows you around. You can make him wait for you anywhere but make sure you remember where as he will stay there. I forgot where I left him and found him a few days later.
