I too chose Avenger for the mid range benny of fire suppression for our close range Enforcers to close and destroy. I'm sure I'll eventually move to the sniper/cloaker class as I truly enjoy hitting people when they don't even know I'm there.

Avenger...I need to be able to shhot down people like Droxor from afar if i see him coming at me with a knife!

Looks good and I would not worry to much about the stutter. Optimization is usually the last thing they do.
