Never played Quake it any good ?

Outlaw, Ive read that some people were literally disgusted with that game

Quake 4 according to most gamers has Good Single Player

But bad Multiplayer.

Thats just what I heard though, im never going to touch quake though

Origional quake was great, there were a ton of mods for it most of which focused on team play. In mutliplayer it had a decent mix of twitch play and tactics. each incarnation after though took away more of the great team play elements and put more emphasis on twicth skills. Also ping became king, I was a ranked player in quake team fortress and played on a 33.6 dial up connection, I would regularly play against people on high speed lines (back then alot of people played from work to use T1 connections) and though they had advantage for sure it wasn't a large imbalance. Starting with Quake 2 lowest ping would give a huge advantage.

I played Quake 4 demo. The single player game is fun. I enjoyed that athough it is linear. I much prefer the free flowing games where you can choose your own path. The PvP version of that game sucked worse than any I've ever played. It is all twitch. those who have played with me know I am all about the teamwork becaue one on one, I will die and you will win.

I remember reading that the factions were basically fighting for control of the small amount of usable land that remains so not supprised there would be some combat in those places.
