Playstation 3, unfortunately, is what I feel will be the downfall of Sony. I loved the PS2, it's a freaking great console. But I literally dont know anyone, either on the internet or in real life, who want a PS3. The launch titles suck, way too expensive. Just not any good reason to buy one right now. "OMG POWERED BY CELL, BLU-RAY, GIANT ENEMY CRABS!!!" is all that I hear from Sony as a counterargument.

Hey, if Sony could survive the dreamcast without throwing in the towel then I'm sure they will work this out somehow too.

I know a few people in college that have one preordered, iunno...

It seems they're flaunting its specs and not a game lineup...

Thats why I like the Wii... Zelda, Mario, AND Metriod, all as launch titles (I think, or at least shortly after launch) What's not to like?!

I thought the dreamcast was Sega. Wasn't it called the Sega Dreamcast? Or am I wrong?

Yes it was Sega. It's what finally killed them as a game system making company, they still make games though.

I don't believe so, but than again, they could have bought them since I last heard about Sega. I'm fairly certain that Sega was still its own company when the Dreamcast came out though.

Being the Sega fanboy that I am, I shall educate the unknowing:

Sega stopped production of game consoles, and said they were not going to do that any more after the Dreamcast failed. BUT, they were still going to produce games for other consoles, and thats why you see Sonic on Playstation, and the Wii when it comes out.

Sega is now just a game producing/publishing company, no more consoles with "Sega" in front of them... Sadly.

If you were down as bad as Sega was, then games is the way to go. That's where the true money is, at least according to GamePro.
