Yea, I saw they were saying it will just cost the 49.99 for the game with no sub. Of course the only down side to a free to play game is that it usually means little or no new content.
I do find it odd that this thing popped up seemingly from no where over night.

They mentioned somewhere they would be releasing more content often... Who knows.

Definately looks cool. Physics teacher touched on planets and stuff a couple days ago and I've been thinking about exploration. Even took the time in class yesterday to look up plans to 'earthanize' Mars, so to speak by sending particles there that would eventually recreate it's former atmosphere, melt the permafrost icecaps somewhere on the planet and make an inhabitable planet. Problem is, it'll take centuries for the process to complete. Does humanity have that?

Only thing I don't like is no character progression or advancement. Something just strikes me wrong when something tries to have real-time objectives and a massive-scale war where a new guy who signs up can do as much as a hardened veteran of the game.

It's just based all on credits.

Some of the ideas these guys have are pretty good but my vaporware sense is tingling. Something is fishy to me about a game that has been under development for less than a year but is planned for a dec release. This is starting to remind me of Dawn. Also it's like the story is changing every time a dev posts, as far as yes or no on monthly fee, one character or 4 per account, etc...

Well I searched gamespot.com and they had nothing for Lost Colony. Kinda weird for a game to just poooof and appear outta nowhere. Guess we'll just have to wait and see.
