I pissed off a bunch of folks the first time I played "Live" because I did that. If you are unsure, sometimes it is best to ask if anyone is in the "such and such" area so you aren't shooting at friendlies. It would be nice if people communicated and were more organized. When I say organzied, I mean that a certain 4-6 guys stay together the whole time and they tell everyone that they are "working the left side" of the map or "focusing on the petrol yard". Alas, no one does that. They probably think it is foolish. In my opinion it would cut down on the fratricide.
I also know all those details about the various tanks. If you are playing a russian and see a very square looking tank with a very long barrel on a forward mounted turret try to stay away from its front. That would be a Tiger (Panzervankampfwagon VI).
