Yes.

Lost colony is definitely a "non-entity". Anyone who "pre-pays" their $19.95 is merely giving a donation to the freaks that created that website. There is no game and that is in my opinion a charge of larceny. Since it is on the internet, it falls under federal jurisdiction and should be prosecuted accordingly as a felony. You know it really pisses me off that people attempt to take advantage of others in this manner or any other way for that fact.

What makes me laugh though, is all the Planetside fanboys that came and joined the community. They are so convinced that it's going to be better than Planetside ever was, and all's they've seen is a 30 second clip that looks like ass. I laugh at all the people that gave them $20 already.

Sad thing is, the non existent game (if it was real) would have been better than PS...

Then there was the stress test debacle yesterday. Apparently 200 people is a gross underestimation of the expected server load, they must truly have high hopes for the popularity of the game.
I like how the supposedly in game screen shots of the character models had no back grounds and the terrain pics were obviously terragen renders, all that coupled with the obvious lack of professionalism from the staff gives the whole thing a very wonky feel.

So I took the risk and tried their stress test demo, basically it was just the demo for the torque game engine not the actual game, people are still buying it though.

I also laughed when StateofShock said they are in what...Pre-Release Phase 1 or something and they already are done with Beta? LOL. They never had an Open Beta for it.

They all make me laugh and the idiots who are going to pay for a game that is non existing. Hell I can make a 30 sec video game clip. If you ask me they probably just got their game content from another game and modded it alittle bit. Now if a bunch of the right crowd of people came together and someone with a lot of cash flow and access to having a kick ass servers you could put Planetside to sleep, but these guys are merely on a kick to fool people and run with the cash they get to create another scheme.

So it's a fake, eh? Can't say I didn't see it coming. Seems like they could have done a lot more work to make it convincing, but then again, anyone who would resort to this kind of thing to make a quick buck isn't likely to put much work into anything. If it does, against all the evidence, turn out to be bona fide, I would be happy to eat those words, but I don't think it's gonna happen.

I don't know that I'm convinced it's a total fraud but it's completely half baked at the very least.
I am getting the impression that these guys are trying to come off as knowing what they are doing when in reality they are probably hacks at best, they seem to be buying a lot of models and trying to pass them off as their own work or claiming the artists work for them when they don't, most likely they are out sourcing most of the coding as well. Of course this is just optimistic speculation on my part which is sad.
